Jury deliberations are resuming Monday in the trial of Lamont Pride, who is accused of killing a police officer during an attempted robbery in Brooklyn in 2011.
Prosecutors say Lamont Pride and four other men were trying to rob a drug dealer in Cypress Hills when police arrived, and Pride then shot Detective Peter Figoski in the face while trying to escape.
Before jurors were sent home early Friday to beat the storm, they asked to see the videotaped interview between Pride and investigators from the Brooklyn District Attorney's office.
In that interview, Pride gives his version of what happened the night Figoski was shot to death and claims the shooting was accidental.
The trial of accused getaway driver Michael Velez is also expected to resume on Monday as well.
Two other defendants will undergo trial for charges connected to the shooting and the fifth accused man reached a plea deal to testify against the other four men.
