The arrests of two employees with the New York City Administration for Children's Services for allegedly lying about their cases were announced by the New York City Department of Investigation Thursday.

According to the Department of Investigation, Lola Whidbee and Rosana Caceda both face charges of falsifying business records and offering a false instrument for filing.

Officials say Whidbee last year claimed to have made phone calls to follow up on a case, but they were never made.

In Caceda's case, investigators say she falsified records in 2008, claiming she went to the home of a mother and spoke to her.

The mother in question was actually in jail at the time.

They each face up to four years in prison if convicted.
