MTA Bringing Metrocard E-Fixes Online

The Metropolitan Transportation Authority is making it easier to file claims for certain types of lost or stolen MetroCards.
Customers can now log on to a MetroCard e-Fix website to file claims.
It's for unlimited MetroCard or 7-day express bus plus MetroCard purchased at an MTA vending machine with a credit or debit card.
Card holders will be contacted and will be able to get refunds for the price of the card minus whatever time you've used.
To file a claim, go to efixmetrocard.mtanyct.info and click on "Balance Protection Claim."
MetroCard holders can also call 511.
