Less than a month after its Broadway debut, "Scandalous" will play its final performance this weekend.

Kathie Lee Gifford's show about 20th century evangelist Aimee Semple McPherson will close on Sunday.

It debuted on November 15 to scathing reviews, with critics calling Gifford's lyrics "dull."

The musical stars Tony Award nominee Carolee Carmello as McPherson, a media pioneer who used radio to deliver weekly sermons during the 1920s and 1930s.

At the time of its closing, "Scandalous" will have played 31 previews and 29 regular performances.
