A high-ranking official for the Yankees tells NY1 that pitchers Andy Pettitte and Mariano Rivera are returning to the team.

Multiple reports say Pettitte is close to signing a one-year deal worth $11 million.

Pettitte, 40, returned to the Yankees last season after spending a year away from baseball.

He was 5-4 in 12 starts, but missed much of the season with a broken leg.

Pettitte has spent 14 seasons in the Bronx, winning five World Series titles with the Yankees.

Reports also say Rivera, who is baseball's all-time leader in saves, is looking at a one-year contract.

His 2012 season ended when the 42-year-old closer tore his ACL in May and had knee surgery in June.
