Mets ace R.A. Dickey was named the 2012 National League Cy Young Award winner Wednesday.

In a season where the Mets finished in fourth place in the National League East, the 38-year-old righthander notched a 20-6 record and led the National League in strikeouts, complete games and shutouts.

Dickey is the first knuckleball pitcher to win the Cy Young.

He's the first New York pitcher to win since Roger Clemens won as a Yankee in 2001, and he's the first Met to win since Dwight Gooden received it in 1985.

Tampa Bay's David Price won the AL Cy Young Award.
