The NHL took another step Tuesday toward ending a lockout that's already claimed two weeks' worth of games.
The league proposed a new offer to its players' association during talks Tuesday in Toronto.
The proposal splits hockey-related revenue 50-50 between the two sides.
If accepted, a full 82-game season would begin Nov. 2. and run deep into June.
The NHL Player's Association said it's reviewing the league's proposal.
The lockout began on Sept. 15.
The regular season was supposed to start last week.
