The Metropolitan Opera will soon welcome back music director James Levine following a two-year hiatus.

Levine plans to conduct a concert at Carnegie Hall on May 19.

He will also lead three other productions in the 2013-2014 season.

The 69-year-old canceled his entire schedule for the past two seasons after undergoing surgery for a spinal injury that left him partially paralyzed.
