A Sept. 11 tribute was held at Lincoln Center Tuesday by the Buglisi Dance Company.
The performance began at 8:15 a.m.
At 8:46 a.m., at the moment when the first plane hit, dancers stopped for a moment of silence.
Jacqulyn Buglisi, the company's artistic director, said the goal is to promote peace through art.
"We created this tribute around the 9/11 last year on the anniversary of 10 years and we come together to create a peach labyrinth," Buglisi said. "And then with the peace labyrinth, we bring up the sacred energy, and this energy is for peace and harmony in the world."
