Politicians will not speak at Tuesday's ceremony marking the 11th anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks at the National September 11 Memorial plaza in Lower Manhattan on Tuesday morning.

The ceremony begins at 8:39 a.m. at the World Trade Center site.

Family members of the victims of the 2001 and 1993 attacks on the World Trade Center will read victims' names.

Moments of silence will be held at 8:46 a.m., 9:03 a.m., 9:37 a.m., 9:59 p.m., 10:03 a.m. and 10:28 a.m., to mark the minutes when the World Trade Center and Pentagon were attacked, United Flight 93 crashed in Shanksville, Pa. and when the Twin Towers collapsed.

The National September 11 Memorial will remain open until 8 p.m.

At sunset Tuesday, the "Tribute In Light" will begin shining at West and Morris Streets in Lower Manhattan and stay on until dawn.
