The Brooklyn Cyclones have gone to the dogs.

The minor league baseball team hosted the fifth annual "Bark in the Park" celebration Wednesday.

Fans brought their pets to the ballpark to enjoy a game and playtime with other dogs.

The event doubled as a pet adoption fair.

The event was organized in part by the Mayor's Alliance for New York City Animals and Sean Casey Animal Rescue.

"It's exciting to us because it's a chance to reach out to a neighborhood we don't get to very often, in Coney Island," said Steve Gruber of the Mayor's Alliance for NYC Animals. "This is such a great bonding experience for people and their pets."

"These types of adoption events are a great opportunity to educate people about shelters and adoptable animals, not just going to a pet store and purchasing an animal," said Theresa LaBianca of Sean Casey Animal Rescue.
