A lettuce recall has been issued over concerns of E. coli.

California-based Tanimura and Antle shipped romaine lettuce to 19 states including New York that may be contaminated with the bacteria.

The product is called Field Fresh Wrapped Single Head Romaine lettuce and it was first made available in stores on August 2.

It may have a "best by" date of August 19.

The lettuce is packed in a small bag and bears the UPC number 027918203149.

The company says more than 2,000 cases may have been affected.

So far, there have been no reported illnesses associated with the lettuce.
