NY1 VIDEO: As NY1 revisits its 20-year history, the station looks back at reporter Rebecca Spitz's July 25, 1997 coverage as a Manhattan jury found Autumn Jackson guilty of extortion for threatening Bill Cosby that she would take her story -- that she was his illegitimate daughter -- to the tabloids.

NY1 FOLLOW-UP: Autumn Jackson has never taken a paternity test to prove if Bill Cosby is her father. She was sentenced to a 26-month prison term. However, in the 14th month of her incarceration, a New York appeals court overturned her conviction and she was released. Five months after that, the same court reinstated the conviction, though she would serve no more jail time.
