Harlem Rapper Sentenced For 1993 Murder

A once-rising Harlem rapper was sentenced to 15 years to life behind bars Tuesday after confessing to a deadly 1993 shooting.
G. Dep, born Trevell Coleman, reopened a nearly 20-year-old case in 2010 after he told police he fired shots at someone during an attempted robbery at 114th Street and Park Avenue in Manhattan.
Authorities matched his account with the 1993 death of John Henkel.
Coleman was convicted of the murder in April.
He is known for the songs "Special Delivery" and "Let's Get It," which were released in the early 2000s.
