NY1 VIDEO: As NY1 News revisits its 20-year history, the station looks back at reporter Kareem Hajee's March 21, 1994 exclusive coverage of an undercover sting operation that led to the arrests of three officers from Manhattan's 30th Precinct.

NY1 FOLLOW-UP: Officer Russell Litnewak eventually pled guilty to burglary, while fellow officers Michael Kennedy and Frederick Wagner had their cases dismissed. But that was just the tip of the iceberg when it came to corruption in the 30th Precinct, which saw a total of 33 officers arrested in 1994. That same year, Justice Milton Mollen released a report on the so-called "Dirty 30" that detailed crimes including bribe taking, beating suspects, theft, and perjury. The Mollen Commission issued recommendations to the NYPD on how to fight corruption internally, many of which were later implemented.
