NY1 FOLLOW-UP: The MTA says in the wake of the sarin gas attack the agency created a Hazardous Materials Response Team trained to assist authorities in responding to emergencies involving chemical, biological and radiological elements Dr. Michael Reilly, Director of Planning and Response for the National Center for Disaster Preparedeness at Columbia University, says there's also been an increased emphasis on preparing first responders to protect themselves, so they can better protect the public.
