NY1 VIDEO: As NY1 News revisits its 20-year history, the station looks back at reporter Mike Gilliam's March 2, 1994 story about a plane that skidded off a snowy runway at LaGuardia Airport, coming to a stop at the edge of Flushing Bay.
NY1 FOLLOW-UP: Later that same year, work would begin to extend the runway to give planes a larger safety overrun.
