Vegetarian Pride Takes Over Meatpacking District

Non-meat eaters marched from the West Side’s Meatpacking District to Greenwich Village for the country's first Veggie Pride Parade Sunday.

Inspired by a similar parade in Paris, organizers wanted the world to know the benefits of cutting meat out of your diet -- from healthy eating to animal rights and environmental concerns.

The day wrapped up with a rock festival and expo in Washington Square Park.
