Revised figures released Friday show Mayor Michael Bloomberg spent a record $85 million dollars to win re-election.

In just the past month alone, Bloomberg spent more than $6 million. That's nearly two thirds of what Democratic challenger Fernando Ferrer spent for his entire campaign.

The recent splurge includes $1.5 million on bonuses for the mayor’s campaign staff.

Bloomberg easily shattered the $74 million campaign spending record he set when he first was elected in 2001, but the number could go even higher. The mayor has reported spending nearly $1 million on his inauguration, but that does not include payments for Liza Minelli's band.

Sources tell NY1 Minelli performed for free.

Bloomberg also got a deal from Emigrant Bank, where he held his inaugural reception. Since the space is owned by the city, Bloomberg was not charged.
