A Queens high school student may have one of the longest commutes to class in the entire world.

Far Rockaway resident Santiago Munoz, 14, is among a group of students featured in a "Journeys To School" photo exhibit at the United Nations.

He travels more than two-and-a-half hours each way to the Bronx High School of Science.

Ever since Sandy disrupted train service in the Rockaways, Munoz takes two buses and two subway trains in each direction.

Photographers who followed children from around the world said Santiago's commute is longer than many students who use far less advanced transportation, including a boy from Brazil who rides a donkey to school.

Santiago said he understands why the subway fix in the Rockaways will take time.

"A hurricane is a difficult situation so there's going to be a lot of problems and there's always going to be people criticizing the city for not fixing public transportation, but the thing they don't realize is how difficult it is to fix the situation," he said.

The boy said he is determined to continue his schooling and eventually become a doctor.
