The U.S. Senate confirmed Queens native Jack Lew as Treasury Secretary Wednesday.
President Barack Obama's pick for the nation's top fiscal job won support with a 71 to 26 vote.
Lew worked at Citigroup before joining the administration.
Most recently, he served as the president's chief of staff.
He also spent years working on Capitol Hill, including a stint in the Clinton Administration.
Lew takes over for Timothy Geithner, who wrapped up a four-year term last month.
