The man found dead and tied up in his Manhattan home Monday was a long-time volunteer who worked with underprivileged kids.
The nonprofit All Stars Project said Charles Romo, 48, was a volunteer theater manager.
He was found dead Monday morning inside his Hamilton Heights apartment.
Police say a cleaning woman found him and called 911.
They say Romo's hands had been tied behind his back and there was a bag taped over his head.
So far, no arrests have been made.
