As of today, the price of a first-class U.S. postage stamp is going up a penny to 46 cents.

New Yorkers who bought "forever" stamps at the old price can still use them.

It now costs 33 cents to mail a postcard.

Rates also went up last year as the struggling postal service deals with annual losses of billions of dollars.
