Three transit officers in the Bronx really stepped up to the plate Thursday to make a special delivery.
Police say it all began when Tamika Snipe, 21, went into labor on the 4 train at the Yankee Stadium stop.
A passenger helped her into the nearby transit police station where officers quickly took action.
"The water broke, by the time I got downstairs I was ready to go," Snipe said.
"I moved all the chairs to the side. I put garbage bags on the floors. I took everybody's coat and threw it on the floor," said one of the officers.
The officers and their captain coordinated with EMS over the phone to safely deliver the baby.
The new mom and baby Maxwell were taken to New York Presbyterian Hospital where they are both doing well.
