Hurricane Sandy was the focus of New Jersey Governor Chris Christie's State of the State address on Tuesday, as he thanked the first responders who worked during the storm and the organizations that helped in the recovery efforts.
The governor did not unveil any major policy changes during his speech in Trenton.
"Let's demonstrate once again the resilience of New Jersey's spirit, and let us continue what we started together, rebuilding from Sandy, with pride and determination," Christie said.
Some critics faulted him for not addressing problems, including the state's high unemployment and foreclosure rates.
