Secretary of State Hillary Clinton will return to work next week after being treated for a blood clot in her head.
A state department spokeswoman says Clinton is resting at home but is speaking with senior staff and sounds upbeat.
She was released Wednesday from New York Presbyterian Hospital.
Clinton's medical team believes she will make a full recovery.
She's been out of the office since mid-December, when she suffered a concussion.
Clinton is planning to step down from her cabinet post later this month, assuming that President Barack Obama's nominee, Senator John Kerry, is confirmed as Secretary of State.
