People in Times Square get a sneak peak of New Year's Eve festivities Saturday as organizers conducted the annual "airworthiness test" of the confetti that will be used on the 31st.

When the ball drops, one ton of confetti will be tossed by more than 100 so-called confetti engineers standing over seven Times Square roof tops.

"It looked great," said one person in Times Square. "I can't wait to, or I wish I could see it on New Year's Eve with the crowd and confetti."

"I think it's pretty awesome," said another. "It's a lot of fun. Gets me excited for New Year's Eve and New Year's."

"There's definitely a confetti-tossing strategy, and I found that once I declump and fluff, if you will lovingly toss, then it will float," said Allison Hagendorf, 2013 Times Square New Year's Eve host.

People can also write their wishes for 2013 on a piece of confetti at the New Year’s Eve Wishing Wall in the Times Square Museum and Visitor Center until Sunday.
