Former Mayor Ed Koch is expected to be released from the hospital Monday.

He was admitted to New York-Presbyterian Hospital this past Tuesday afternoon.

His spokesperson said he had a respiratory infection and was being treated with antibiotics.

Koch turns 88 on Wednesday and will be celebrating with a party at Gracie Mansion.

He'll also be appearing on Inside City Hall Tuesday, when he'll rejoin the NY1 Wiseguys.
