Former Mayor Ed Koch is in the hospital with a respiratory infection.

A spokesman for the NY1 Wiseguy says the infection is being treated with antibiotics at New York-Presbyterian Hospital.

Back in September Koch was admitted to the same hospital for several days to be treated for anemia.

Mayor Koch will turn 88 on Dec. 12.
