The garment salesman accused of shooting three Brooklyn shopkeepers to death is denying the charges against him.

63-year-old Salvatore Perrone was held without bail after his initial court appearance Thursday.

He was arrested Wednesday on murder charges, which his defense attorney said Perrone denies.

Police say Perrone was captured on surveillance video last Friday, moments after the most recent shooting.

They say he was carrying a duffel bag, which contained multiple weapons, including a gun that was linked to all three shootings.

Police Commissioner Ray Kelly said police are still working to determine a possible motive.

"What we do believe is that he had some contact with the victims in the past," Kelly said. "Perhaps not all of them, but the nature of this business was such that he went into stores like this on a regular basis. He was a jobber. He was somebody who would buy wholesale items and go and sell it to retail stores."

The other deaths happened in July and August.

Perrone now faces three counts of murder.

He could face life in prison in convicted.
