Queens Stabbing By Mosque Under Investigation As Possible Bias Crime

Police said they were investigating the stabbing of a man by a Queens mosque on Sunday morning as a possible bias crime.

Authorities say the 57-year-old victim was stabbed in the torso outside Masjid al-Saaliheen on Kissena Boulevard near Aguilar Avenue in Flushing around 5 a.m.

The victim was taken to New York Hospital Queens and was in stable condition by Sunday afternoon.

The suspected perpetrator, seen above in a police sketch, is described as a man about 35 to 45 years old, 6-feet tall, weighing about 180 pounds, with blue eyes. He was seen wearing a blue baseball cap, black jacket and blue jeans.

He was yelling anti-Muslim slurs at the time of the attack.
