The Manhattan district attorney announced today the indictment of a Bronx teenager charged with raping a woman on the Upper West Side after delivering a pizza to her building.
Cesar Lucas, 16, is charged with first-degree rape, sexually motivated burglary and first-degree sexual abuse.
Lucas is also charged with endangering the welfare of a child, as the victim was raped next to her sleeping seven-year-old daughter on the morning of September 29.
The victim was taken to the hospital and her daughter was not hurt.
Sources say Lucas made a pizza delivery to a separate residence in the same building right before the alleged rape, and police believe he entered the victim's apartment through an open door.
Lucas was arraigned on October 24 for a separate home burglary that allegedly took place in Hell's Kitchen in August.
