Two former city cops were sentenced Friday in a case connected to a 2008 traffic stop.

Michelle Anglin and Koleen Robinson will have to perform 100 hours of community service for each of their two counts of official misconduct and pay a $200 fine.

The women were accused of beating Marlon Smith in August 2008 after getting into an argument over an open car door in the Bronx.

Their lawyers say they're happy with the decision, but added that the case is not over yet.

"Perhaps it didn't end totally the way that they wanted it to end, but ultimately, the major charges, they were vindicated on and the misdemeanor charges, which they were found guilty of, we believe are going to be successful in terms of an appeal," said Michael Mays, Koleen Robinson's attorney.

"200 hours is nothing to sniff at," said Neville Mitchell, Michelle Anglin's attorney. "It's still a considerable amount of community service."

Smith needed 25 staples to close a gash in his head.

The officers claimed Smith attacked first.

Anglin and Robinson were convicted of official misconduct in April 2011 for not reporting the fight or calling an ambulance.

Both were acquitted of assault charges in July.
