Police have arrested a man in connection to the deaths of a woman and her baby girl in the Bronx.

Eligidio Lind, 21, is charged with two counts each of murder, manslaughter and arson.

Firefighters were battling a fire in a Kingsbridge apartment Thursday night when they discovered Luisa Rodriguez, 32, under a burning mattress.

She had been stabbed before the fire was set.

Her one-month-old daughter, Angela, was found unconscious nearby and was later pronounced dead at the hospital.

Police say Lind may be the girl's father.
