The fiance of the pregnant Brooklyn woman found stabbed to death over the weekend has been arrested on unrelated charges.

Police say Anthony Jackman is charged with having a false temporary registration for a vehicle.

Jackman was questioned in the death of Vindalee Smith, 38, but has not been named a suspect.

Smith body was found slashed and stabbed in the neck inside her East Flatbush home on Saturday, the day before her wedding.

Her baby did not survive.

Police say Jackman is already married to a woman in New Jersey but that the two are estranged.

One neighbor who spoke with NY1 says she has turned over her private security surveillance video to police and hopes it will shed some light on the case.

"Everyone is really taken and shocked because things like that don't really happen on this block. We don't really have murders like that. Everyone is saddened and shocked," said the neighbor.

Investigators say there were no signs of forced entry, and they did not find a weapon.

They did, however, discover a typed note referencing Washington DC sniper Lee Boyd Malvo, who is serving a life sentence in prison.

The note read, "I will kill 1 pregnant woman a month starting now until Lee Boyd Malvo is set free!" and was signed "The Apprentice" with a smiley face.

Investigators are trying to figure out if the note is legitimate evidence or just a ruse to throw them off track.
