A Texas man charged with plotting to kill the Saudi Ambassador pleaded guilty Wednesday in a federal court in Manhattan.
Manssor Arbabsiar admitted to being involved in a $1.5 million plot to blow up a Washington restaurant the ambassador was scheduled to visit.
Arbabsiar is a U.S. citizen with an Iranian passport.
He was arrested on Sept. 29, 2011 at Kennedy Airport.
Arbabsiar's lawyers say he suffers from bipolar disorder.
The Obama administration accuses Iranian government agents of also being involved in the plot but an Iranian spokesperson says the accusations are 'baseless.'
Arbabsiar faces a maximum of 25 years in prison when he's sentenced in January.
