As President Barack Obama and Republican challenger Mitt Romney prepped for their second presidential debate, Republican vice presidential nominee Paul Ryan and First Lady Michelle Obama stumped on the campaign trail Monday.

Speaking at a rally in battleground state Ohio, Ryan told a crowd in Cincinnati it was in their power to change the country by finding the people who voted for Obama four years ago.

"This is nothing but a failed agenda of broken promises, of hollow rhetoric. They see that this is a man who cannot run on his record and so has resorted to a campaign, not of hope and change, but of attack and blame," said Ryan. "Distort, distract, divide to try to win an election by default."

First Lady Michelle Obama was also in Ohio, stumping for her husband and touting his accomplishments.

"The millions of jobs Barack has created, tell them about all the students in this country who can finally afford college. Tell them about the millions of lives that will be changed because of health reform," she said. "Tell them how Barack ended the war in Iraq, tell them how, tell them how together we took out Osama bin Laden."
