In the latest effort in the battle of the bulge, calorie counts are coming to soda vending machines.

Starting next year, the American Beverage Association will roll out new vending machines with calorie information.

The new Coke, Pepsi and Dr Pepper machines will also be stocked with more low-calorie drink offerings.

It comes amid Mayor Michael Bloomberg's move to ban the sale of sugary drinks larger than 16 ounces.
