Five police officers suffered minor injuries Wednesday trying to break up a fight at a McDonald's restaurant in Williamsburg, Brooklyn.

Witnesses on the scene say a woman was arguing with a manager at the restaurant on Broadway in Williamsburg around noon when she threatened him with a pole.

Police were called and witnesses say the woman attacked the officers as they tried to approach her.

Investigators say officers complained of hand injuries and minor cuts.

They say the 38-year-old woman and a 52-year-old man were both taken to Woodhull Hospital for psychiatric evaluations.

Charges against the suspects are pending.
