Medical Examiner Rules Death Of Brooklyn Store Owner A Homicide

The recent death of a store owner in Bensonhurst, Brooklyn was ruled a homicide on Friday.

The medical examiner says Isaac Kadare, 59, had a gunshot wound to the head and sharp wounds to the neck.

He was found inside his store on located on 86th Street and 19th Avenue in Bensonhurst by two customers Thursday night.

They say his face was covered with an aluminum tray and his pants were splashed with bleach.

Community members tell NY1 he was a father of four who also owned apartments above the store.

"Isaac's an incredible person. His kids are great. He just left a family without a father and he's going to be missed. He was a hard worker," said a local.

"Here's this man, he's trying to make a living just like everybody else out here and then he loses his life for no reason. That's senseless. Who would do that?" said another.

There is a $12,000 reward for information leading to an arrest, composed of $10,000 from the NYPD and $2,000 from Crime Stoppers
