Police are looking for answers after a Brooklyn shop owner was found dead inside his store Thursday.

Authorities say two customers discovered the body of Isaac Kadare, 59, inside his 99-cent store located on 86th Street and 19th Avenue in Bensonhurst.

Investigators say he suffered head trauma, and was pronounced dead at the scene.

They also say his face was covered with an aluminum tray and his pants were splashed with bleach.

Police say they have not found evidence of foul play and they don't have a motive.

"He has a wound in his temple and also has three marks under his chin. We are asking for the medical examiner to make a determination as to the cause of death. Obviously it's suspicious to say the least," said police Commissioner Ray Kelly.

Community members tell NY1 he was a father of four who also owned apartments above the store.

"He just opened up recently, and I go there all the time. He's a real nice guy, and he helps you. His kids are working there too. What a nice guy. This is like...I can't believe this. This is like very shocking," said one customer.

"He's just such a good person. I'm in such shock that this actually happened to him. I don't don't know who would want to do something like that to him," said another customer.

Kadare's death had many in the neighborhood on alert Friday. As police continue to piece together details of what happened one worker said he's concerned for his safety.

"I'm scared because I work at nighttime, I'm scared usually this area is good but sometimes it happens like this," he noted.

Even though police have not officially labeled the death a homicide one group is already offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to an arrest.
