A construction worker at 4 World Trade Center was hospitalized Tuesday after a fall.
Port Authority officials said the worker slipped while on the 58th floor Tuesday afternoon.
A small steel rod he was holding at the time punctured his back and abdomen.
Officials said the worker was alert and conscious when taken to the hospital. A construction official told NY1 the worker is in stable condition.
The accident came the day after a ceremony was held to raise the last beam of the skyscraper to its top.
