The Metropolitan Transportation Authority is looking to save some cash by offering free rides to disabled New Yorkers.
The agency is hoping disabled New Yorkers will take the bus or subway if they don't have to pay for it, instead of using the pricey Access-a-Ride service.
The paratransit service costs the MTA about $60 a trip while charging riders just $2.25.
If the measure is approved by the MTA board Wednesday the agency estimates it will save up to $90 million a year.
