In the wake of allegations of sexual abuse at Horace Mann High School in the Bronx, an elderly former teacher and chaplain at the school is going public with his story.
88-year-old Tek Young Lin told the New York Times he had sex with at least three students while working at the school.
The Times said there had been allegations that Lin, who was also a cross-country coach, had gone too far with some students.
In the article, Lin claimed he did not coerce any students, saying "everything I did was in warmth and affection and not a power play.”
He retired in 1986 and is unlikely to face legal action because of New York’s statutes of limitation.
Earlier this month, a New York Times magazine article exposed sexual abuse by at least three teachers and coaches at the school between 1978 and 1994.
