Mayor Michael Bloomberg wants to make sure parents will know when they can see the evaluations of their kids' teachers.
The mayor says principals and assistant principals will call every parent to let them know when the evaluations are available.
Parents will be able to access the information through the Parent Link website.
A help desk will be created as well to allow parents to ask for evaluations to be mailed or emailed to them.
The mayor's announcement came a day after Gov. Andrew Cuomo's teacher evaluation bill passed the state legislature.
In addition to giving parents the right to review evaluations, it also allows the public to see the data without teachers' names attached.
