NY1 For You got results for a Bronx renter who had huge gaping holes in her apartment ceiling. NY1's Susan Jhun filed this follow-up report.

The ceiling in Tina Coward's apartment in the Foxhurst section of the Bronx has gone from leaky and unsound to stable, thanks to some help from NY1 For You.

"Oh since you all came, everything's been great," says Coward. "And I really appreciate the walls are done, the ceilings and everything and now it looks very great."

It is a huge improvement from when NY1 first reported on Coward's horrible living conditions last month.

The renter contacted NY1 after six years of failed attempts to get her landlord to fix severe leaks in her ceilings, including one that brought down a portion of her bedroom ceiling.

"Boom! Out of nowhere and it just fell on my head," says Coward.

After Coward called NY1, the station called her landlord, Jerome Associates, and the company sent workers to her apartment immediately.

They plastered the walls but within days water was seeping through again.

NY1 called Jerome Associates again and a representative said the company would go back out to Coward's apartment to find a permanent fix.

Now, after the latest repairs, Coward says she thinks she finally has a stable ceiling over her head.

"If it wasn't for you all, it'll still be the same for the last six years. I appreciate it," says Coward.
