The stars were out on the red carpet as Men In Black III held its world premiere at the Ziegfeld Theater. NY1's George Whipple filed the following report.
The extraterrestrials are back, back at the Ziegfeld Theater for the world premiere of Men In Black III.
Will Smith gave me the top three reasons to see the flick.
"The number one thing is Josh Brolin," he said. "What he was able to do in this movie, the entire film rests on his performance and he delivered the young Tommy Lee Jones, the young Agent K in a way where it will be an actual 20 years before he actually gets credit for it. It was so good, people will just skip beyond the performance."
"The time jump sequence is the best 3-D sequence of the year," he added. The way that Barry Sonnenfeld used the depth and the height to create that sequence is out of here. The surprise ending. We can't talk about it. We can't talk about it but it's a surprise ending in this movie that nobody expects. It's a complete sucker punch."
Will might have had a blast making the flick but his co-star has the most dangerous role in all of film. He plays a young Tommy Lee Jones. Imagine if Josh Brolin got that wrong.
"I loved everything about making it," Brolin said. "I loved Will Smith. I love Tommy. I love Alice Eve. It's great! Aliens, man!"
The young Emma Thompson was portrayed by Alice Eve.
"You listen to everything she says, you know, she told me what the character was," she said. "She wasn't a flirt and she was navigating her way through an incredibly sexist culture in order to get to a position where she was able to run Men and Black. She's a very forthright woman and I took that energy she had."
