Jurors have yet to come to a verdict in the embezzlement trial of former State Senate Majority Leader Pedro Espada Jr.
Jurors left court early Tuesday because one juror was feeling sick.
The jury has deliberated for seven days.
Police allege that Espada and his son stole approximately a half-million dollars from the health care clinic he founded.
The former Bronx lawmaker has maintained he had permission to use clinic money on personal expenses.
He has charged that the case is politically motivated.
