A fast-moving fire caused damage to four floors of a Manhattan high-rise Wednesday.

The New York City Fire Department says it started just after 11 a.m. on the 16th floor of the Masaryk Towers located at 89 Columbia Street on the Lower East Side.

Investigators say the flames broke out in an apartment and spread upward, jumping from window to window all the way to the 20th floor.

Two people suffered non-life threatening injuries.

Four firefighters were also treated at the scene.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation, but fire officials say it does not appear to be suspicious.

The Red Cross is assisting residents of at least four badly damaged or destroyed apartments.
