Jurors finished their first day of deliberating in the trial of John Haggerty, a political consultant accused of bilking more than a million dollars from Mayor Michael Bloomberg's 2009 campaign.

So far, no verdict has been reached.

Prosecutors say Haggerty stole more than a million dollars from the mayor’s 2009 campaign and bought a house.

He is now charged with first-degree grand larceny and second-degree money laundering.

The money that Haggerty allegedly took was meant for a ballot security operation.

Defense attorneys say Bloomberg led a "win at all costs" campaign, threw money at problems and lied on the stand, something a spokesperson for the mayor has denied.

If Haggerty is convicted of both charges, the judge is expected to sentence him to concurrent sentences.

Haggerty faces up to 25 years in prison for the larceny charge and up to 15 years in prison for the laundering charge.
